Mind over Matter is a drawing show of more than 150 works on paper created on the pages of discarded textbooks, teaching materials, obsolete foreign currency, etc. The drawings combine found paper materials with layers of graphite powder, drawing, erasures, and collage. Layers are both added and removed to reveal aspects beneath the surface while re-organizing the page with new forms. I want to transform the materials in order that they offer the viewer a new experience.
