About Ironton Studios and Gallery:
Artists
Russ Beardsley, Mike Mancarella and David Walter opened Ironton Studios
and Gallery six years ago. Built near an old iron smelter, the 1/2-acre
lot was conceived as a place for artists in all disciplines to have a
long-term place to work.
Ironton Studios is home to 15 artist studios, and is unique because of the variety of
disciplines. Photographers, woodworkers, metal fabricators and sculptors, painters and
stone carvers all find their home here.
Along
with the individual spaces there is a shared kitchen space, landscaped
garden
and an 800 square foot gallery that is open to the arts community.
Recent shows have included the installation work of Susan Meyer, video
and
photography by Gary Emrich, photos of Debra Goldman and the paintings
and performance of Bill Amundson.
Ironton is a founding member of the
River North Arts District (RiNo, pronounced like Rhino); find out more
